The British Board of Scholars & Imams has joined a coalition of Muslim organisations and charities to highlight the growing problem of climate change. As a often over-looked area, climate change and care for the environment is essential as we move forward to protect our world and particularly for those already living in poverty and vulnerable communities. It is a role of the Imams and Scholars to remind and educate the community on this critical issue as viceregents of the Earth. It is for this reason we are encouraging all imams and khateebs to use the Friday sermon to address this important topic. We provide a template of a khutbah for all imams to use as a basis.
