Shaykha Selina graduated with a Bachelors degree (BEd) in Primary Education, CELTA and PTLLS from London. She also completed a Diploma in Arabic Language and a Bachelors degree (BA) in Usul-Ad-Din and Usul-al-Fiqh in Arabic medium from the European Institute of Islamic Sciences in France. While studying Shariah she also completed an intensive Tajwid course on Ibn al-Jazari, a classical Tajwid text, and studied Tajwid extensively under a number of male and female Tajwid scholars. In particular, Sheikh Said Bouhdifi who obtained Ijazah for 10 recitations (Qira’at) from Sheikh Ayman Suaid and from Sheikh Abdul Munim As-Shalati.
