Sh Dr Mansur Ali completed his classical Islamic studies (Scholar/Alim course) at Darul-Uloom Bury, UK and then further graduated from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. He completed his Master in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Manchester. His dissertation was on ‘The methodology of western scholars in the study of hadith literature’.His academic pursuits then lead him to complete a PhD at the University of Manchester, writing a thesis on the ‘Importance of the Isnad in Imam Tirmidhi’s Sunan’. He is currently a lecturer at Cardiff University, where he also supervises several PhD students.  He was awarded the prestigious British Imams and Scholars Contributions and Achievements Awards (BISCA 2015) for outstanding contribution to Research.
