“The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever”. (Bukhari & Muslim)
With over 7,362 reported casualties so far, including 2,913 children and 1,709 women, in addition to 1,650 individuals reported missing, among them 940 children, and a staggering 18,976 people injured, the incursion into Gaza has wrought devastation. This includes destruction to schools, hospitals, and homes, with journalists and first responders also affected. Currently, the situation is marred by severed communications and ongoing bombings, posing a dire threat to more innocent lives.
In light of this crisis, the BBSI urges for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the swift provision of essential resources, encompassing food, water, fuel, and medical supplies.
The global community must engage their conscience and humanity to put an end to this ceaseless assault on innocent lives. Our commitment is to peace and the quest for a political solution. Governments across the world must unite to break the cycle of violence and demand an immediate ceasefire.
We must persevere in exerting pressure on political leaders to champion peace and justice, employing all available legal means to amplify the voices of reason and peace.
In these challenging times, we call upon Muslims to intensify their prayers, remembrance of God, and the recitation of “La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah.”
O Allah, safeguard the innocent, bestow upon them peace, and bring justice to the world.
